Use this review before adopting an AI-supported workflow as a regular organizational practice.
Workflow review questions

| Purpose | What task is AI supporting, and what outcome is expected? | Define the task narrowly enough to review. |
| Input | What information is entered into the AI system? | Remove confidential, private, or unnecessary sensitive data. |
| Output | How will output be checked before use? | Assign a reviewer and define verification steps. |
| Risk | Could errors affect people, public communication, legal obligations, or important decisions? | Increase review requirements for higher-impact uses. |
| Record | What needs to be documented? | Record tool, purpose, reviewer, and final decision owner. |
Classification
- Low-risk: brainstorming, formatting, internal drafts.
- Moderate-risk: public content, research summaries, administrative recommendations.
- High-risk: decisions affecting rights, access, safety, employment, finance, or legal position.
High-risk uses should require explicit approval and domain-specific expert review.
